Prefrontal stimulation and sgACC engagement

Testing the network response to stimulation of the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex.

Our interleaved TMS-fMRI research examines how prefrontal stimulation affects the subgenual anterior cingulate cortex and other connected regions. Individual targeting, stimulation intensity and brain state are central variables.

The programme includes acute target-engagement measurements, individual dose–response studies and chronometric experiments during working memory. These studies help characterise mechanisms relevant to depression research without equating an acute imaging response with a clinical treatment outcome.
